Shannon R. Maroney

Law Clerk

Shannon R. Maroney is a law clerk pending admission to both the New York and Washington State Bar Associations. Her unwavering commitment to community, service, and advocacy has shaped every chapter of her academic and professional journey.
Ms. Maroney now channels that same passion and purpose into her practice as a member of the motion department, where she focuses on motor vehicle collisions and premises liability. She approaches each case with meticulous preparation and thoughtful advocacy, conducting thorough legal research and drafting persuasive motions designed to advance the best interests of the firm’s clients.

A proud aluma of Canisius University in Buffalo, New York, Ms. Maroney earned her Bachelor of Science in 2022, leaving a mark on campus life through her exceptional leadership and tireless dedication to others. As a captain and goaltender of the Division I Women’s Lacrosse Team, Ms. Maroney cultivated the poise, resilience, and strategic mindset that would later define her approach to legal practice. Leading from one of the most demanding positions on the field, she understood that success required equal parts preparation, composure, and an unwavering commitment to her team, and that reflects in the qualities she brings to each client matter today.

Ms. Maroney’s leadership extends beyond athletics, as she maintains an active role in the alumni mentorship program with current student athletes interested in taking steps towards a legal career, and embracing every opportunity to contribute positively to something larger than herself.

It is precisely these values: service, leadership, and purpose, that led Ms. Maroney to the Gonzaga University School of Law, where she earned her juris doctorate in 2025. At Gonzaga, Ms. Maroney served as President of the Women’s Law Caucus. In that capacity, she facilitated networking events that connected students with legal professionals, organized meaningful service opportunities that strengthened ties to the broader community, and successfully secured funding for various student clubs and organizations across campus. Her presidency was a reflection of both her organizational talent and genuine desire to engineer connections amongst those around her.

After growing up on Long Island, and moving to the West Coast, Ms. Maroney returns to New York as a dedicated advocate whose life experience has instilled in her a deep appreciation for the people and communities she serves.
